This event was sold out last year and the kids had a blast!
Kids enjoy learning about bees at the Wee Bees Class with a live bees observation hive and bee school instructor. They will paint, plant bee-friendly flowers, have snacks and drinks and take home buzz-worthy things to do.
***Please dress them in clothes they can get paint, dirt or food on - just in case they get messy.***
Kids who are sensitive to certain foods/drinks should bring a sack lunch.
There will be optional Bee Lab sign up (free) for parents who would like to accompany their kids for a visit in the Educational Apiary at a later date. Families can suit up and learn to become comfortable with bees while seeing what's inside a beehive and they can look for the queen!
SOWEGA Beekeepers Club merchandise will be for sale in the lobby if you would like to bring/send money. The merchandise we sell helps support these kids programs, bee labs and other educational club events.
