Apiary Workshop: Installing a Bee Package into your Hive Box - March 17th '24

This months Apiary Workshop will be a demonstration of installing a package of bees into hive boxes.  Installing bees for the first time can feel intimidating.  What if they fly?  Where is my queen?

Don't let this task keep you from jumping in.  Join us in the apiary as we install packages of bees into our hives in an effort to expand our apiary, support genetic diversity in our local drone pool, and face this task together.

Please bring your own PPE and water.  Veils, Suits & Jackets are limited; please bring your own bee suit/jacket/veil for your own protection as we cannot garantee one will be able to be provided.  Gloves are recommended.  Waivers and sign in must be filled out before entry into the bee yard for everyones safety.  This is an apiary, please make decisions wisely; if you are allergic to bees, please speak to your health care professional about the risks of beekeeping.

Remember to bring water as it's getting warmer and those suits get hot!
