Amber-Marie Perkinson
2024-25 SOWEGA Beekeepers Club President. Amber is the owner of Bee'n Queen'd Apiaries in Colquitt, Ga., and a student in the UF/IFAS Master Beekeepers Programs & the Georgia Master Beekeeper Program. She is also the Vice President of the Early County Georgia Young Farmers and strives for education and inclusion of all.
Stan Okon
2023-24 SOWEGA Beekeepers Club Vice President.
The 2023 Lifetime Membership award recipient and Dean of our Beekeeping School, Stan has and continues to go above and beyond in the Beekeeping community. Stan also mentors at Bee Labs and gives a great presentation about catching swarms.
Sophie Raburn
2024 Treasurer
2022-23 Secretary and Volunteer Coordinator. Sophie was a student at the SBC Beekeeping for Beginners School in 2021. She caught her first swarm a few months after school and does photography at the Bee Labs. Sophie volunteers at SBC events and is Winner of the 2021 SOWEGA Beekeepers Club Rookie Beekeeper of The Year Award.
Erika Antonio
2024 SOWEGA Beekeepers Club Secretary.
2023 Member at Large Board Member. Attended the SBC Beekeeping School for Beginners in 2022. Volunteers at almost every SBC event with her husband Mike.
Trella Whaley
2024 SOWEGA Beekeepers Member at Large Board Member. Trella was awarded Rookie Beekeeper of the Year for 2023.

Honorary Lifetime Member
Don Geisman, winner of the 2022 Lifetime Membership Award. Beekeeping School Instructor, Bee Lab Mentor, Apiary Inspector and so much more, Don has given countless hours to educating students about bees and beekeeping. It is an honor to recognize his hard work and efforts with this award.
